Frills in Peach - Cake for Hantaran

A beautiful hand crafted cake made by one of my favourite baker Liyana Vanessa my niece.Her cakes are yummies too...This  butter cake in peach frills with orchids and rhinnacullas on top was superbly 

done which shows how detail she was.This was done for MIam and Awi s hantaran.

This is the beginning of a song lyric sung by country singer Carl Smith.....its so happened I was looking for a title to befit this set of hantarans.

Firstand foremost my sincere thanks to Datin Sazilah for giving me this opportunity and trust to do this set for her daughter Mariam s wedding.I must say this young, stylish mother is all excited as this is the first wedding in their family....and she was prepared with what she had in mind.The dulang which she had was a beautiful porcelin tray....With the theme given...that is peach....my mind was set on orchids and roses..peach and purple so to speak.

i was in frenzy when  the florists told me the colours i had ordered did not come due to the cold weather...and so these were the final results....please view below.I am glad the family loved them.To Miam and Awi have a blessed married life together till Jannah.Amiin.To Dato and Datin thank you again.

Saving All My Love For You - Wedding

If anyone can remember this 1985 song sung by diva Whitney Houston. .. called Saving all my Love for  you.....? it is such a beautiful love song and it reminded of  this handsome Mohd Sirajuddin and his beautiful bride Hazlin from Ipoh.

When Mohamad first called me..he already knew what he wanted .I was pleasantly surprised .His mom  gave a lot of suggestions which really made it easier for me .

White orchids was the choice and he wanted the hantarans to be perfect for this special lady.They were going to Ipoh for the ceremony.....I was told they were neighbours during their childhood days.

Thank you Mohamad for your trust ...I wish you well and a happy married life together till Jannah.Aamin.

English Rose Garden - Engagement

Alma and Zul are friends of my son and his wife ....they came by one day to get me to arrange for Zul s brother who was getting engaged.Such a lucky guy ...to have a brother so concern .

Having decided on the colour theme ...which was brown...I chose to use roses  eustomas and carnations in peach and purple.As the function  was going to be after maghrib the colours have to be bright enough to be eye catching.

Glad they turned out well and  Alhamdulillah the family was satisfied....

I kind of like the wooden stand they brought.....it adds  to that English feel....please view below

Peaches and Green - Wedding

In November 2013 I did a set of hantarans for Azilah from Shah Alam.Peach and green werethe theme colours....Peach seems to be a favourite colour these days.

Anyway, having requested for orchids here I opt to use cymbediums again and this time I combined it with peach roses, champagn eustomas, cream carnations and of cos baby s breath too.Babys breath will always softened the whole arrangement.

Once again congratulations Azilah and partner may you have a happy married life.Aamiin.

Wedding Favours ideas

The things that one can give away as favours on your wedding day are countless from food, cookies, cupcakes, to decorative items like soaps, notebooks, candles, etc. 

Gone are the days when we give away boiled eggs or bunga telur....although some still do .

Here are some that I have picked up from the numerous weddings we attended and liking them too...

Little containers and bottles....filled with  honey, flavoured salt, mixed nuts, or even dried fruits...this one here is filled with dried cherry tomatoes...you can even use dates, cranberries,apricots, kiwis, pineapples to name a few....

Be creative and dont overdress the containers ...keep them simple!

Bright and Sunny - Wedding

A simple yet bright combination I did for Shakirin s cousin.....just one week after...and that was in early September 2013.

Bright and sunny yellow gerberas combined with pink carnations white eustomas and purple sweet williams make up this set of hantarans.

I have to apologise the pictures were not too great.....as they were taken in a hurry...and by the unprofessionals of cos!!

Classic Red ...Sireh junjung

I did this classic arrangement for a friend Jenuidah whose daughter got engaged in October 2013.
A combination of red and peach roses was pretty stunning.i love it too.

Tropical Splendour - Wedding

This set of hantarans was done in August 2013 for Shakirin and Wan Azemi. I myself love this set.

Shakirin is the daughter of a close friend of ours....our daughters grew up together and have been friends since young.

Shakirin and Wan are nature lovers and it was just natural they chose green as their theme colour.

I chose to use green cymbedium orchids mixed with yellow ones as the mother had requested me to use orchids.The outcome was refreshing dont you think?

To Shakirin and Wan have a blessed life together.

Welcome 2014

Wishing everyone especially my dear followers a very happy 2014 ...May we all be blessed with good health, good fortune and happiness.Aamiin.

My sincere apologies for not updating and posting pictures of my work for quite sometime...blame it on the Apps.

Being IT illiterate....I was stuck for quite awhile!

2013 was a great year for me and my family Alhamdulillah.We had additional members....my daughter Izza got married and than we have 3 grandkids to join the gang and that adds up to 9.....Oh dear....dont I feel old!Hahaha....

Anyway rezeki for 2013 was also good Alhamdulillah....my dear customers who did their engagements with me came back to do their weddings too.To all my dear customers it was a pleasure having served you all and thank you for your trusts.
